The left continues to be obsessed with Sarah Palin’s every peep, sneeze, and stride. Despite the fact that it has been over a year since the 2008 Presidential Election, Palinphobia remains fiercely intact, no doubt fueled by the release of Going Rogue and sure to be sustained by Palin’s decision to join the Fox News team. The question is why, and the common response that she’s a conservative woman, and hence guaranteed to be routinely in the line of fire, is unsatisfactory to the American voter. And it should be.
Of course Palin’s commitment to the pro-life movement will forever imprint a scarlet letter on her chest in the minds of the pro-abortion National Organization for Women and its wide-eyed followers, despite the true origin of the feminist movement and Palin’s alignment with it. But the reality is that there is something unique and remarkably threatening about Sarah Palin that places her in a league of her own. Despite her media and fan-bestowed celebrity status, Palin is, at her core, an everyday American. She’s a proud hockey mom who acknowledges her mistakes and imperfections. She pledges allegiance to our flag and her faith. She isn’t worried about not having a pretentious Ivy League degree. She doesn’t come from affluence or bear a prestigious family name. And if she skins her knees beating the boys in a basketball game, she’ll likely do a quick victory lap and treat them to dinner at the Palin house. A woman who doesn’t feel victimized by the boys? There’s another strike against her from the feminist left.
The fact that Palin doesn’t view herself as a political celebrity or a star in the Republican Party makes her allure all the richer. It’s like a Valedictorian who doesn’t think she’s particularly smart or a handsome gentleman who doesn’t own a mirror, each becoming infinitely more appealing as a result of their humility. The truth is that Palin has become a star by virtue of being just like you and me. And the elitists, particularly academics on the left, are heated. They want their politicians snooty, want the lofty intellectualism they believe themselves to possess mirrored back at them by the big words and fancy slogans of their elected officials. They want their pomp and circumstance, a perfect side dish to the hollow rhetoric of their holier-than-thou leaders. For those elitists, Palin’s substance just isn’t going to cut it. And aggravating them all the more is the fact that she couldn’t care less.
Make no mistake that Palinphobia will continue to breed and thrive in the months to come. There will be a host of insecure retaliations to both the monumental success of her book and the rise of the conservative ideology she represents. However, Palin’s down-to-earth speech, love of country, and empathy for the challenges of the average American family will continue to inspire America’s patriots.
P.S.–Keep an eye on those patriots as they go rogue in the 2010 and 2012 elections.

The banality of the rubchak comment appears to be made by an unseasoned Womens Studies graduate teaching Middle School English. Certainly does not rise to the level of the subject matter. or the presentation.
After reading some of these comments, it’s a perfect example of how far our education system has declined. Apparently, spelling isn’t taught in our schools anymore.

During the campaign, which I worked here in SW Florida, was privileged to hear her in person. Admired her in every regard then, and realized the leftists in the media were shafting her. BUT then I read “Going Rogue,” and the second time scanned through to mark all the times she used the words God, prayer, divine guidance, and family worship. My esteem grew with each page! However, her total honesty and courage in fighting criminality in BOTH parties in Alaska, and getting justice AND money back for its people, were so amazing and refreshing that she rose even more in my esteem. Finally, her simple, home-loving, hard-working lifestyle, of frugality and community made me want her to lead our nation, in whatever capacity she chooses. Agree Senator then go for POTUS. WE NEED HER. Give her book to others. (And to the snob who wrote about English…I have genius IQ, but know others with same who can’t spell, and some who can but can’t type. Also dyslexics. For shame that you can’t see the overarching theme here of one brave, totally GOOD woman of leadership and courage. Go, Sarah, Go!!!

When John McCain and Sarah Palin ran for the Presidency and Vice presidency, in my opinion I sensed she was our best to help run this country. I grew up on a small dairy farm and learned how to do lots of things, learned where most of our foods are grown. We were a church going family and learned honesty and love of God above all else. Fox’s interviews of Sarah Palin
were very honorable and I think they are doing a great service to our
country to expose the organized destruction of America. I have a 10 volume set of the “Library of the World’s Greatest Orations” from the late 1800′s that contains George Washington’s first inaugural speech and his farewell speech, which are two of the finest orations of all time and answers the question, “What do we need to do to preserve our freedoms?”
Washington explains in the second paragraph of his first inaugural
speech that God is not only the premise of our Constitution, but that
every phrase of the Constitution was written to bring honor and glory
to God, a concept that has been well concealed.
How do we know when a politician is honorable? When he is a
constitutionalist. Other labels such as republicans and democrats,
left and right wingers, conservatives and liberals, capitalists and
non-capitalists, etc only lead to confusion. A constitutionalist will
try to repeal the injustices that have changed our Constitution. Frenchman Frederick Bastiat in 1850 wrote that there were two instances where the original Constitution promoted plunder, (1): the protective tariff the North placed on the South, and (2): the slavery issues, both violating the citizens’ rights to own property. The
American people were able to correct these issues and now we need to
begin to correct the plundering alterations of the Constitution, one
by one, where the law assumes a concept contrary to its original intent, the concept of legal plunder (legal theft).
The Constitutional appointment of senators by the states through their
state legislators as written in our original Constitution instead of the direct election of senators would have prevented these drastic socialistic laws eroding our Constitution, and kept our government a republic. Instead of making new laws, the laws that cause the many problems need to be repealed by Congress.
A statesman will protect all rights which are all free to everyone. A
true right costs no one anything! Medical care, aid to financial
institutions, etc are all instruments of plunder and need to be repealed and eliminated. Politicians will do anything to obtain votes, statesmen will do that which is best for America. George Washington very clearly in the above mentioned speeches warns Americans of the forces that will be used to change our limited, free-enterprise, republic into the deceptive monopolistic oligarchy that is operating at the present.

How refreshing to hear you interviewed and note that you don’t go round and round the issue, but you immediately give an answer that sounds like it came straight out of your knowledge and experience. And when you’ve finished your answer, the audience has no doubt what you just said — unlike so many of our politicians who cloud issues and answer some other question, hoping you might forget what you really wanted to know. Your pride in your state and our country are beautiful to see. Again, not like most of our politicians who clearly have their own power and wealth as their driving force. I have followed Sarah Palin from the time she first hit the spotlight. She is not perfect (hence her belief in God who forgives all). Like most mothers can attest, we control only portions of our and our families’ lives; therefore, she is human. She is the most true- to-heart candidate in my lifetime. Maybe God was waiting for her to make a run at the presidency rather than the vice presidency. Whatever she decides (if she runs) she will receive my vote as she did in the previous election. I am not inspired by the religious invocations for either our country or Sarah because they are unnecessary. An intelligent person is what we need without any ” political baggage” from either of our major political parties. Sarah could probably do the job as President because our country is run not by the President alone but by the ingrained redundant bureaucracy of Washington and the Wall Street thieves and their lobby”bag-men” –who pay off many Senators and members of the House– that populate the halls of the Capital and
congressional office buildings and can buy almost any legislation that their masters want.
I have no regard for the concept of “God or Devil” as every individual can play either role and frequently both. We don’t need the support of either in order to elect a person to get us out of the multiple idiotic messes that our various so-called “leaders” have gotten us into over a number of past decades. Throwing out the present set of political “bums” in Washington will not be sufficient if we turn around and elect a new set of “bums” to replace them! The first major move to return America to it’s citizens should be to eliminate the Federal Reserve, which is owned and directed as an integral extension of Wall Street, and which is a Constitutionally illegal and functionally immoral non-government organization that has led our nation to bankruptcy. We do not need or want a communist, socialist or religious form of government, we need to return to the original democratic principles that made our country one of the greatest in history.
Yes, I would vote for Sarah because she has little political baggage now and may be intelligent enough avoid acquiring the kind that has just about destroyed America.

A Basic Medical Service must be agreed upon unanimously by the entire board. Board Members serve three years. The list of Basic Medical Services is published and amended as required.

right on the button. The constant attack on our Constitution has been ongoing almost from the very beginning and continues to this very day. The one Basic Point in our Constitution is that it was concieved under God. Our very country country was founded under God.

Christmas, it’s the Holliday season. Public Schools have become antichrist. If you hate Christ so

Now this administrtion is screwing with the Second Amendment, namely, our right to own and bare arms. If they try and force this through, they are dumber than I can possible imagine. The uproar about this confiscation of our firearms would make the Obamacare situation seem like just a stupid idea. Sara would obviously dump any such idea. I am a former Navy carrier pilot with over 100 missions into North Vietnam and was a replacement pilot for John Mcain and several others. It makes me angry to hear the liberal press make comments about how dumb he is..Research studies concluded that less than 5% of Americans could sucessfully make it threw the program to become a carrier pilot. Just because John speaks in short concise sentences (like Lincoln) doesn’t make him dumb!By the way I am not a big supporter of him. I will be happy to again fight for my country but only when the war is in our country where it can be up close and personal for the liberals,

I was in Alaska when Sarah was nominated and everyone I talked to loved her and what she had done for her state.(92% approval rating) until so many lies were spread about her in the lower 48.

We have a few things in common! I voted for Mcain and I was in the Navy in 1968. I cleaned your teeth if you had port in Long Beach, CA. I love being around the fly guys and learning about the planes and was able to get rides on a few bombers and play radio Girl. The best was being able to fly an Army helicoptor, then I did two years inactive with the Army.
I would like to know how I miss used God’s word. I state it would be great if we could work at finding common ground and work together at making this country the best it can be. I think calling people names that do not agree with us is not how to win people in to a conversation or is anywhere in God’s word.

I have watched interviews with Sarah Palin and I do not believe that she studied History very much in school. This could be from the fact that for the last 10 – 15 years there has been a definite decision to not teach that subject in favor of “The Basics.”
“Those who fail to study History are destined to repeat it.” Our progressive (Liberal) friends will do well to go back to school and study what the Constitution contains. Otherwise, “We Will Remember In November.”

Sarah Palin is such a breath of fresh air, I wish we would elect 546 more people just like her in the next few elections. Our politicians are supposed to be ordinary people. Whether they can spell or not is not nearly as important to me as honesty and truthfulness. Which way too many of our current officials seem to have forgotten. Washington is in a real mess. The first thing we, as the voting public, need to do is clean house. We can do this by NOT voting for any incumbent Senators and Representatives that have been in office for more than 1 term. The Congress and the House of Representatives was never meant to be a lifetime career. The seats should be limited to 2 terms, like the President, and should be changed every 2 elections. If the leader of our country cannot run for more than 2 terms, how ridiculous is it that the rest of those on the hill can? Those who have been in power for years have lost touch with just why they were sent to Washington in the first place. They are out of touch with the common man and woman, the very ones they are supposed to represent. Remember how they reacted when the people spoke out at the town hall meetings regarding Health Care? They couldn’t believe that the people would be so outspoken. We need to take back the power that they have taken away. People today are more educated and more in touch with what’s going on in the world than ever before. Television and the internet are responsible to this in a large part, and most people want to be informed and aware of what’s happening in Washington and how it will affect their lives. The only way this can be achieved is in the ballot booth.
