Biden and trump

Every day Americans are seeing the cost of everything around them go up. From energy to transportation costs to the price of groceries, the cost of living in Biden’s America is expensive, while the goods and services we are receiving are no better. Our dollars are buying less and less while prices are going way up — a double whammy for families across the country trying to make ends meet.

Americans are feeling the pain at the pump, and the country’s mood has continued to give Democrats angst as they cling to their razor-thin majority in Congress. This November, Americans will cast their ballots in a midterm election that is widely seen as a referendum on President Biden and the Democrat-controlled Washington elected into office two years ago. As we’ve reported before, polling does not currently look good for Democrats.

A big part of the reason for these poll numbers is that Americans are truly feeling the pain in their pockets. Let’s take a look at the official numbers:

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) keeps track of the cost of energy, food, and household goods, and their latest report from March 2021-22 shows significant increases over the last year, for example:

  • Gasoline has increased 48% in the past 12 months.
  • Used cars and trucks have increased 35% in the past 12 months.
  • Energy has increased 13.5% in the past 12 months.
  • Airfare rose 10.7% in March, after rising 5.2% in February.
  • Grocery bills are up 10% in the past 12 months.
  • Meats, poultry, fish, and eggs increased 13.7% in the past 12 months.
  • Beef rose 16% in the past 12 months.
  • Milk and dairy products increased 7% in the past 12 months.

Most importantly for most Americans, in 2020, the national gasoline average was $2.17 per gallon, and today, gas is up over $4 across the country. Clearly, these numbers don’t lie, despite the Orwellian rhetoric coming from the White House.

What most Democrats and their loyal friends in the media don’t like to talk about is that the cost of goods and services disproportionately affects the lowest wage earners, those making $35,000 or less per year. In 2019, half of the workforce (roughly 86 million people) earned $35,000 or less in income. These are the everyday Americans now paying twice as much for gas and every essential item across the board under Joe Biden.

Americans are waking up to the fact that they don’t like the direction of the country under President Biden and Democrats in control of Congress. When you compare the current cost of energy, food, and household goods to a short time ago, it’s pretty clear how much more affordable life was in Trump’s America. The numbers speak for themselves.

No way can Trumps America be compared to the train wreck we are living today. If the media has told the truth and the Dems didn’t stuff they box we would all be in a better America.

Americans are stupid – I am from Russia watching you. We have put the fuel up because of our war with the Ukraine yet you blame Biden – it’s hilarious. We are just helping our friend Mr. Trump.

You should have shown the percentage of increase for every single item you’ve listed from January 21st 2021 to the present, so people could see the total effect of just how much worse their lives have become since Biden was installed in the White House and the Democrats seized control of both chambers of Congress. Limiting your examples to just a 12 month look back removes the sharp up-tick in energy and food prices that started after Biden’s first official act of signing a series of executive orders to cripple our domestic energy sector and increase regulations to stifle overall economic growth in the United States. That would provide a much more compelling display of the cumulative effect Democrat policies have inflicted on our country to date.

Democrats are using geriatric Joe, to met out political payback on America, because we didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton.

There is NO COMPARISON: I bought a new Harley in 2019 with a Trump economy but in 2022 it costs me almost $35 to put gas in it! This is all planned like cigarette taxes (supposedly) to get people to quit: force fundamental change by making it too expensive to keep the undesired behavior! Meanwhile like the cigarette tax, government gets its extra revenue from increased taxes on increased prices.

Biden is not a leader. He is reading material the destructive unAmerican people/entities behind the scenes are writing & want accomplished. Biden makes foolish statements when he strays from the teleprompter. This admin is really one of the worst based on the out of control border, outrageous spending, & terrible policies.

Trying to “compare” Biden with President Trump is like trying to compare a corvette to a wheel barrow.

Large numbers of poor and low income Americans consistently vote for Democrat candidates. They are reliable ardent supporters of the party, yet their voting block is always the most adversely effected by bad Democrat economic policies. Better Republican messaging would go a long way toward changing this harmful, self-debilitating mindset.

There’s no comparison between Trump and obiden. Trump has integrity and obiden lies about everything. You can tell when a democrap is lying. If their mouth is moving , nothing but lies and hate for our great nation. All the $ going to Ukraine? It’s called kickbacks. That money is being laundered into the pockets of our so called leaders. Follow the $$$.

The big issue is how much they will cheat, because they are so desperate to hang on to their power and spot at the hog trough they are so accustomed to and believe they are entitled to.

Thanks for the relevant chart. Not many if any except Fox would show a complete comparison of Bidennomics.
