As Americans wade through daily news full of mounting sexual harassment allegations, ongoing atrocities in North Korea, and flip-flopping details of the new tax plan, many wonder if Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian involvement in the 2016 US elections should be put to rest. However, in light of recent developments, some Republicans are calling for an investigation into the investigator.
Mueller was appointed in May as special counsel to examine possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, in an effort to sway the election. To date, Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign chairman, and George Papadopoulos, former foreign policy advisor, have been charged in the case. This month, former national security advisor, retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn admitted to lying to FBI agents when he denied asking the Russian Ambassador to interfere with a United Nations Security Council pending resolution prior to Trump’s inauguration.
This week, The New York Times released texts from two FBI officials, paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. The two exchanged several hundred politically-charged, anti-Trump messages between August 2015 and December 2016. During that time, Strzok was investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of her private email server while conducting official business for the State Department. Strzok, former deputy to the assistant director for counterintelligence, was fired from Mueller’s crew and is now employed in the FBIs human resources division. Page also had a brief stint on the Mueller team before returning to the FBI.
In a text sent by Strzok in March 2016, he said, “God, Hillary should win, 100,000,000 – 0.” The following month, Page sent a text, seemingly concerned about possible exposure, “So look, so you say we text on that phone when we talk about Hillary because it can’t be traced.” In June 2016, Strzok expressed his contempt for the US government, texting, “I LOATHE Congress.”
According to Fox News, Jerry Nadler (D-NY) downplayed the significance of the Strzok-Page texts, saying “Peter Strzok wasn’t saying anything about Donald Trump that the majority of Americans weren’t also thinking.” However, critics point out that average Americans were not heading up serious investigations against a presidential candidate.
Dan Weber, President of AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens noted, “The illicit relationship between Strzok and Page put the entire Mueller probe at risk and opened it up to threats of blackmail and extortion. But the text message exchanges should be a glaring red flag over the bias held by the Clinton investigators.”
To date, the Mueller investigation has cost $6.7 million, according to statement of expenditures from the Department of Justice released on December 12, 2017. However, so far it has not come close to the cost of Kenneth Starr’s investigation into the Bill and Hillary Clinton land deal, dubbed Whitewater – that led to the investigation into the President’s extramarital affair with Monica Lewinsky – that resulted in the impeachment of Bill Clinton – that ultimately cost taxpayers more than $70 million.
As many have said before, this so-called investigation has run it’s course and should be disbanded. To continue it further just wastes taxpayer money. Pres. Trump was legally elected. Dem crybabies can just get over it. As we have seen, Trump has done more good for this country in 2 short years than any Democrat in recent history. This country is headed for socialism and communism if you listen to what these dems want. Pay attention people. Our way of life is in the balance.
It’s past time to go after Mueller and all his corruption over the years.
Mueller is not in it for political gain, he is in it for the MONEY. The longer he keeps it going, the more money he and his friends make. That is the way all of these bureaucrats work. Same with the clown that got reassigned to HR, he can’t be fired because he is a Fed employee, just moved sideways, I bet he even got a raise. These are the reasons that the debt is so high.

Mueller admittedly is a Democrat donor, which creates an impossible scenario wherein he can investigate without bias! Given that alone should cause the Congress to open an investigation with Independent investigators into Mueller and his corruption-capable bias. The fact that the 2 who were fired from the investigation team went back into the FBI shows EXACTLY what Trump has accused the FBI of – Corruption and Collusion, IS TRUE! They are protecting their own, unlike the way the Republican Establishment does by eating their own and throwing them under the bus, as though by doing so they can curry favor with the elitists in the democrat party and media, which will NEVER happen, no matter what the GOP does…and, they just don’t get it! NEVER WILL, EITHER! The whole thing is a FARCE! We know it but the GOP doesn’t think we do so they keep on doing what they have always done…WE HAVE TO THROW THEM OUT OF OFFICE TO DRIVE A POINT HOME TO THEM! These corrupt puppet’s of Hillary are trying to destroy President Trump because they were corrupted by Obama and Hillary to the degree that could send them to prison for a long time. They know that Trump will not coddle and lie to protect them and that is why they hate him so much. It appears to me that the Wolves that is conducting this “investigation”.????? Was a given conclusion, lot,s of palms greased- 6 million and counting. Really. I thought, at the beginning of the investigation, they would have an answer somewhat quickly. I certainly was wrong. This has dragged on for far too long, with no evidence of the initial charge of the investigation coming to light. It looks like a witch hunt now, with the only charges being “Process Crimes”. This is rater pointless, and costing way too much money! Heck, you can charge almost anyone with a “Process Crime”, if given enough time and money to do so. It needs to end.

Strzok and Page need to be fired immediately. Mueller needs to conclude his investigation as soon as possible, and give the public his findings. If Mueller’s investigation is shut down now, we will never hear the end of it from the Democrats. Mueller knows he has nothing on Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians to win the election. Then, a second Special Counsel needs to be appointed to investigate the FBI and DOJ corruption and REAL crimes that took place with politicized Obama holdovers. If these crimes are not investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice, then there will be no possible incentive to refrain from doing the very same kinds of things in the future. Crimes must be punished if our system has equal justice under the law. Otherwise, the United States will be just like a banana republic, with powerful government agencies being weaponized to go after political candidates they do not like. All this must come to light because the American public has a right to know the truth about what happened. It will come to light that the agencies under the Obama administration, like the IRS, the FBzi, and the DOJ, were the most corrupt in American history.

I think though that Mueller may be afraid to investigate anyone or any department from the Obama era as he might also incriminate himself, since he was a part of that era too. But the truth needs to come out as we the people have a right to know, so that justice can finally be served. Sadly, this is what happens when corruption has been left to fester and grow all these years, and no one taking responsibility to curb it.
It should not take this much money to flush a toilet in the Federal Government, but I am positive that more than these 20 some commenters here know when flushing has to take place and how much cleaning will be required to cleanse the stench as well. The Lois Lerners, the Robert Comeys, The Eric Holders, the Clintons (including Chelsea who know what was happening inside the Clinton Foundation). The benefactors of the $17 million sex scandal bailouts and the existing leader who knew of this theft of taxpayer money to hide misconduct.
Let this Inquisition continue to expose them all. If necessary a second investigation to expose the investigators and the media who been complicit is assisting through their hype, even when they have facts that call most or all of their reporting into question, like Morning Jo(k)e!
The entire Mueller investigation is tainted beyond recovery. Any investigation that is politically based when no crimes are evident MUST be impartial and unbiased. We now see hard evidence that this investigation has not been impartial at all. For those “investigators” uncovered and removed for bias, how many more might there be we don’t know about? Therefore, Mueller’s team has zero credibility any longer. Some of us feel it never did because Mueller had a clear and illegal conflict of interest from the outset as a mentor, colleague, and personal friend of the fired FBI Director Comey whose firing started this entire debacle. And that is not my opinion alone but had been expressed by some very solid legal minds. Mueller has no integrity remaining assuming he once did. He needs fired and the entire team replaced. In fact the Russian “collusion” silliness has always been a diversion from the really big scandals which include the Uranium One deal (which Mueller and Rosenstein approved), the Clinton pay to play foundation, the possible violation of the Espionage Act by the mishandling of highly classified data by Hillary, the funding of the phony Trump dossier, and even the Wasserman-Schultz mishandling of congressional data by a team of Pakistanis. Lots of very serious stuff overshadowed by a silly investigation that was never justified, a pure witch-hunt based on nothing but misplaced political hatred.
BTW, if American uranium resources were sold to a foreign government (Russia), who got the money from the sale? I’m not talking about the Clinton Foundation’s “donations” but direct income from the sale of our national resources. If our government got paid, how much and when? Did our nation benefit in some way by the sale of our natural resources: nuclear fuel in this case?
Interestingly, we have just learned that the DOJ issued a waiver of conflicts of interest in order for Mueller to be appointed. They will not, however, give any information as to the conflicts.
Sigh.
Muller used to be Comey’s boss at the FBI. As such, he either ordered Comey to handle a number of “sensitive matters” or was personally involved in a number of these issues. Conflict number one. There is also Mueller’s past working relationship with Rosenstein on a number of Clinton related matters during the Obama years. Conflict number two. There are several other conflicts involving Mueller and other high level officials at the FBI and DOJ.
The biggest glaring factor here is the other waste of federal funds to accomplish what! Just another example of hiding the real facts.
