Below are the priorities recently outlined by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy for the Republicans should they regain the majority next year. Recognizing that all of these are important, please choose the top two that are most significant to you.
Term Limits and they get too many benefits. We don’t get a guaranteed retirement we usually put money in for it. The congress should have to save for their retirement. After they serve 2-6 terms they retire they get a check! Even the military has to put in 20-30 years.
Had the DAMN REPUBLICANS had a backbone AND ACTUALLY STOOD UP FOR THE AMERICAN CITIZENS, we wouldn’t be in the predicament in the first place.. Now they want us to STEP UP and dig DEEPER into out pockets to bail them out AFTER THEY FRIVOLOUSLY wasted our tax dollars.. I feel betrayed by the senators and reps.. I lived in CA and I saw a soft spoken man with no balls Kevin McMarthy didn’t do much for CA either.. I’m not supporting him or any other Republican that doesn’t STAND UP and MAKE HIS/HER VOICE HEARD and BE THE VOICE OF THE AMERICAN CITIZENS.. REPUBLICANS ARE A JOKE AND AS GUILTY AS THE DEMOCRATS. We have been sold a bill of goods that only keep the American Citizens blind as to what really is going on in the government.. I’m at a point where I hate the Republicans as much as I do the Democrats for allowing the destruction our moral civilized lives for their own greed..
All are equally important, but we must start somewhere.
I would have chosen all of the above. Our country is in trouble and it’s people are suffering.
Here’s the deal. We have heard promises many times before. It’s about time they walk the walk and not just talk the talk. There are more than the Biden administration that need held accountable, Democraps in general, past and present as well Democrap operatives (Fauci, CDC, FBI, & FDA) to name a few.
A good place to start would be in defunding the endless number of regulatory agencies that stifle our economy and usurp our freedoms.
Not much will be accomplished because braindead Joe or whatever commie replaces him will never sign any bills that might reverse their democrat crap or help the repubs. In any event, the people haven’t much mattered for decades to either party except for votes.
Trump won! Without election integrity, legal votes don’t count and cheating will win the day and destroy this country.
It amazes me how stupid AMAC thinks the public is. You hold Kevin McCarthy up pretending he is a Republican and on our side. He has proven many times over that he is a RINO traitor. If conservatives don’t do their homework we are going to put all the RINO’s back in office and continue destroying our country. Wake up people and become informed voters!
Too many times in the past when repubs had the majority, they sat on their hands and let the left manhandle them. When they get in there, take over and get our once great country back. Doesn’t matter where they start as long as what they do, they do for us. Energy independence wasn’t a choice but should have been. Biden handed Putin the opportunity to become very rich and he’s moving on it in a very dangerous way for the world.
My top priority isn”t a choice. It is energy independence START UP the Pipeline!
Sleepy Joe has not done one good thing since he became president close the boarders give America back it strength and security focus on getting our economy back where it was two years ago stop trying to take away our freedom and stop trying to control what is ours for your own power and control. Returning to energy independence is actually my top priority, so I’m concerned and disappointed this isn’t one of Kevin McCarthy’s choices!
“Making government smaller,” unfortunately, isn’t a priority to this guy. It never is.
We are getting a taste of socialist/communist lite governance and it will only get worse. If the people don’t take notice we’re doomed.
You can only vote for socialism once.
Holding Biden accountable will fix a lot of this.
Number one priority is to stop the Communist, i.e.: Democrats. They are changing voting laws so they win every time and are trying to make the USA communist, ruled by (they think) them. Reality is their puppet masters will be in charge, most likely China. The Biden’s, Clintons and all the other corrupt politicians need to go to prison.
The problem is that all these things are important to do. It’s very difficult to just pick two.
We have had 2 years of riots and destruction. One year of crime, open invasion of our country and crippling inflation. Now we are playing a dangerous game with a strong adversary, all because we have total idiots in charge. Enough is enough. Take the house and senate back in 2022 and make Donald Trump the speaker. Then impeach both Biden and Harris for crimes against USA citizen for the open borders. Trump then becomes President in 2023 to fix this mess.

If McCarthy was serious, the first priority of the GOP should be routing the GOP of RINOs, which would require him to resign immediately.

actually my choices are to jail the clintons especially hillary for the thousands of illegal subversive activities she has done and obama for murder of our ambassador and others and the jailing of the fbi leaders that lied and corrupted that organization and the two doj leaders that lied and corrupted and had people arrested for no cause and the millions upon millions of dollars spent on trying to get something on president trump and the generals that went against all their orders given to them by the commander in chief and the jailing of maxine waters for inciting many thousands of people to kill the president and his family on several occasions and the very low life and criminal nancy pelosi for not only subversive activities but the criminal nature of her activities as a speaker of the house of representatives as she has spent billions on her own personal travels using taxpayer funded flights and the inciting of riots to abuse and harm the president of the united states and the destruction of office of speaker of the house and the manipulating of votes and criminal activities she has taken while in office of the house of representatives……that is the top priority of any honest and true american that takes over the running of the house of representatives ……
The very first thing they should do is deny McCarthy any leadership role. He is establishment and not part of the America First agenda
I too agree energy independence is of utmost importance. And voting integrity, which without our Republic will collapse.
Winning the House and the Senate won’t be enough unless the majorities are sufficient to override Biden’s veto. That said, the House’s investigative powers could make a difference.
We are very worried about the millions of illegals (sick with COVID) that were and still are being bused and flown all over the country! While Americans have worked to stop the spread, our own government doesn’t care about anything EXCEPT to try to expand their voting base by first bringing them here and then claiming Voter ID is racist so they can allow illegals to VOTE! You have to show ID and Vaccination cards to eat out or go to venues, but not Vote????? The left uses race, sex, religion, age or anything they can to divide us! Secondly…crime is rampant and more criminals are being allowed back out on the streets…this administration cares more about criminals than it does it’s own citizens! This is coming to a small town near you if crime is not punished! The very cities that cried “defund the police” are showing us what happens when you disrespect law and order!

It is exceedingly difficult to select just one of the many problems facing the country today. One set of problems concerns foreign affairs. Chinese and Russia’s expansion, Korea and Iran’s nuclear developments, and the regrowth of Islamic terrorist.
Another problem not mentioned is the out-of-control Congressmen lying to the people and stirring division, for example the “squad.” The list is long. They should also be held accountable.
The congressman forgot the most important item for the Republicans to do as a party, weed out the RHINOS!
Unless they get rid of electronic voting, they won’t win.

The main problem today, is that the Country is being taken down the tubes by the incompetent Democrat Party of today! These are not true Democrats, they are Socialists! Biden and Harris are absolute jokes!
Mc Carthy may be able to influence Border security, but the other priorities would depend on cooperation from mix of federal and local Democrats, Deep-Staters, and G. Soros. Our government structure is currently and purposely, dysfunctional, cooperation is not a strong point. “Talk” is cheap. Good luck.
I want to check as many boxes as I choose. There are more than two items on that list that need taken care of immediately.
Sad that cutting taxes, cutting spending, cutting the size of govt., aren’t even considered any more.
I would say that all of the above are very very important. I will add the health care problem. As a Medicare recipient I must pay 1/3 of my SS income. That is wrong. American citizens who pay all their life and retired have the right to live a happy life and don’t choose between food or medicine. They have to be able to get glasses. Go to a dentist. Do not be afraid to go to a doctor or call an ambulance. Unfortunately this benefits have people who never worked or the smart one who knows how to hide there earnings. This is wrong and has to be changed.
The biggest problem in this country now is Federal Government regulations and bureaucracy.
Without safety and freedom, we cannot work to rein in inflation or help the cities rebuild. Having said that, the cities really should take the consequences of their own actions and not expect to get help until the local leftists are voted out.
Kevin, Cut the spending and size of government… the House is in charge of Appropriation…dont send the president any bills with pork. Reduce spending by 1 cent for every dollar spent for 2 years.
Not only fight back against government over reach but lay out alternatives and explain so people understand the more government grows the less freedoms one has
Other than the desperate need to stop all that’s happening to kill this nation & the Constitution, what has the Republican party done to earn my vote? Why do these careless democrate like wolves in sheepshead clothing deserve to be in control? Their do nothing, non supporting, reckless spending, liars are weak, worthless, destructive, & gutless. one of our top priorities should be how to counter the hypocrisy and bias of the 3 main so called news stations (abc,cbs,nbc).I have seen many comparisons of conservatives to Hitler. what truly brought Hitler to power was the treat of Versailles ,which bled the German economy. the loss of money from Jewish owned businesses where they sent that money to Palestine to fight the British not back into the German economy .when he got control of the media he was able to manipulate the people. just look at our country today. illegal immigrants sending all their money out of the country at the same time going on social giveaways. treaties in trade destroying us.and our media hand in hand with the powers that really want fascism not socialism
If I were to add one thing to this list… It would be to restore some confidence in our medical system by ending the bounty on COVID patients and COVID deaths.
Securing the border declares that we are still a sovereign and indepedent nation.
Holding the Washington elites accountable and then replacing them will likely solve 90% of the remaining problems going forward.
We need to fight hard for our country to remain a Democratic Republic. Freedom not Socialism!
