“Guns are not the cause of evil, just like the vehicle used by the domestic terrorist in Waukesha, Wisconsin to mow down innocent people in a parade killing six, the vehicle used was not the cause of that evil…. the person driving it was.” That’s how Representative Greg Steube [R-FL 17th District], a staunch defender of the Second Amendment, had recently put it on the floor of Congress.
In a new interview with Rebecca Weber, CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens, on her AMAC podcast, Better for America, he pointed out that the Second Amendment is very clear, it says “we shall have the right to keep and bear arms. They didn’t define what arms are, its arms, plural … I think it’s important that the American people have the ability to defend themselves regardless of what type of firearm they choose to use. Restricting law-abiding citizens’ access to certain firearms is not going to prevent criminals from obtaining weapons. It is not going to prevent somebody who wants to commit harm or murder individuals.”
Steube explained that Democrats want to ban just about all guns. They say they are targeting what they call “assault rifles” but they would like to ban any gun “that takes a ten-round magazine,” which would include most handguns in America.
He went on to say that he believes the Constitutional right to bear arms will play a role in the upcoming midterm elections. “The Democrats,” he said, “think it goes in favor of them when in fact, it doesn’t. The majority of Americans support law-abiding citizens’ ability to defend themselves. If you look at statistics and you look at the numbers, look at the municipalities in the jurisdictions that have put in place magazine bans and assault weapon bans and all these different laws. They have a higher crime rate … I think the majority of Americans know that we should be able to protect ourselves. We have a Second Amendment to the Constitution and [voters] aren’t buying into the rhetoric of the left.”
Nor are voters buying into the left’s attempt to put the blame for the dismal state of the economy on President Trump or Vladimir Putin’s ruthless invasion of Ukraine, Steube said. “The American people are smarter than that.” They know that the Democrats control Congress and the White House and it is the policies they put in place that are to blame for the rising cost of living.
The people who are most likely going to do harm to others with guns have always been able to get them on the black market. So where does that leave law abiding citizens if the right to bear arms is taken away from us? I applaud the Supreme Court! Nice job!

I own guns, I like guns, I always have. I have a concealed weapons permit. I belong to a shooting range and a gun club. I usually buy a gun for a purpose. I don’t see a purpose for the AR-15, nor for a 50-round magazine. I rarely see a AR-15 at the range. I feel I have a legitimate, defendable reason for my guns. Please explain to me why we are falling on our swords to defend the AR-15 and 50 round magazines. And don’t give me the- once we give an inch, they’ll take everything BS-. Give me a legitimate reason why I should go out and spend $1200-$2000 on an AR-15 and a 50 round can that’s going to set in my closet because I can’t afford to shoot it.

The second amendment was written by our founding fathers to protect the citizenry of this country from tyrannical government control! Our founding fathers escaped from a tyrannical government and founded this nation knowing full well that citizens without accession to arms is a country of oppressed citizens.
If you look back on history of all the nations that were ruled by despotic governments, the first thing they did was disarm their citizens!
If a citizen of the USA wants to own a single shot shotgun or a semiautomatic gun then they should be able to do so. It’s no different than a person wanting to own a toyota prius or a Lamborghini . Owning a firearm or auto is a privileged right that comes with great responsibility!
Remember this, “the second amendment keeps the other amendments free”. If you don’t need nor want a firearm , then don’t buy one. If you need or want a firearm then you are guaranteed the right to buy one or more guns!
Also, look at how many people die each year in auto accidents verses gun deaths. I don’t hear the government trying to ban autos !

Virtually every nation that was once free and now under a brutal dictatorship had to be disarmed first. What’s happening here is little different. 1st. weaken the “justice” system, (in case you haven’t noticed our “justice system” is a sick joke) erode morality, truth, erase the nation’s true founding, make all “public” schools teach carefully re-written “history”, harass and jail parents who dare to discipline their child, and never EVER allow prayer in school …as Hitler said: “Give me your children for 8 hours a day and they’re mine forever.”
Make sure the “media” is carefully controlled and spouting the designated narrative: “guns are violent” sadly so many don’t think twice about accepting that insanity, “MORE GUN CONTROL” Spend a few hours on the ATF website and research the THOUSANDS of gun laws already in place!
Last but not least: before you go to work (if you have a job) lay your rifle, pistol, revolver by the front door. Put a box of proper ammo next to it. According to the willing stupidity of the lefties your gun will load itself.. if he or she (my guns have names) is really industrious, it will search your computer for a nice target, and then it will march out the door (leave it a key so it can lock the door after itself) carefully screen humanity for the best target, kill said target (or targets if it’s really industrious) march home, unload it’s empty brass and lay itself down on the floor, to await your arrival home.

“CONTROL,” or confiscation? Perhaps the focus is misplaced. Perhaps mental health is the primary issue about which concern should be directed. Perhaps opening up the prisons en masse is a foolish proposition. Perhaps discovering, detaining, and releasing without bail drug dealers on their own recognizance is a foolish practice, almost criminal negligence and duty dereliction. Perhaps certain people should do the jobs they were publicly hired to do.
Yes, Gun Control will be on the Ballot, any Candidate that campaigns on the Gun Control Platform, I will vote against and will give money and campaign help to the person who wishes to protect my Constitutional Rights. The real story never gets told. In states with open/concealed carry very infrequent shootings. The criminals are not as stupid as we think…they pick areas where they don’t worry about being shot in return. Gun free means safe to shoot and kill without resistance.
Denmark has some of the toughest gun control laws in the world, yet there was a mass shooting in a shopping complex. Guns are not the cause of evil. A nation that forgets God and thumbs it’s collective nose at Him will be given up to violence. The Ten Commandments get thrown out but LBGTQ+ and CRT get included. Any wonder why we have mass shootings?
