WASHINGTON, DC, Apr 28 — Our kids are being brain-washed by the progressive-socialist movement that is infiltrating America’s schools, says Bari Weiss, former Opinion Editor at the New York Times.
In a recent article she penned for the online publication City Journal, Weiss recounts interviews she conducted with parents of youngsters attending Harvard-Westlake prep school in Los Angeles. Harvard-Westlake can be described as a prestigious and pricey high school; yet, she says she was surprised to learn that it “is teaching students that capitalism is evil.”
Meanwhile, Weiss says that one mother told her, “They are making my son feel like a racist because of the pigmentation of his skin.”
In other words, our kids are being indoctrinated by what is known as a “woke curriculum,” a progressive lesson plan that distorts history in order to produce cadres of future foot soldiers in the march toward socialism, woke being slang for “wake up kids.” The idea is to get them to believe that “merit, hard work, and respect for other ideas” are evils.
It’s happening across the nation as the “woke curriculum” inserts its way into our private and public schools with the aid of a new generation of teachers and professors whose objective seems to be to turn our world upside down, as one wag put it.
Epoch Times reporter Petr Svab writes that the quasi-Marxist critical race theory (CRT), for example, “has been spreading throughout academia, entertainment, government, schools, and corporations. It redefines America’s history as a struggle between ‘oppressors’ (white people) and the ‘oppressed’ (everybody else), similarly to Marxism’s reduction of human history to a struggle between the ‘bourgeoisie’ and the ‘proletariat.’ It labels institutions that emerged in majority-white societies as ‘systemically’ or ‘structurally’ racist.”
Svab focused on Parents Against Critical Theory (PACT). That group describes itself as “a national grassroots organization working to reclaim our schools from activists imposing harmful agendas. Through network and coalition building, investigative reporting, litigation, and engagement on local, state, and national policies, we are fighting indoctrination in the classroom — and promoting the restoration of a healthy, non-political education for our kids.”
It appears that the “woke curriculum” is starting to scare even those who identify themselves as being on the left. According to a Newsweek opinion article penned by Erika Sanzi of PACT, a liberal backlash is emerging. Her article is entitled, The Coming Bipartisan Backlash to Public School Wokeness, and in it, she writes: “I spent a decade working in schools and never could have imagined that the widely accepted liberal slant of many public schools would transform into a cult-like dogma that deliberately shames, denigrates and segregates children, compels speech, disallows dissent and uses rhetorical manipulation to bully teachers and students into compliance.”
The Woke Movement started in earnest when the left decided to turn American heroes and heroines into “enemies of the state.
For example, the San Francisco Board of Education tried to rename public schools to rid them of names such as Abraham Lincoln, who abolished slavery; George Washington, the father of our country; Thomas Jefferson, a patriot of the American Revolution, Paul Revere, and the composer of our national anthem, Francis Scott Key. And, if that’s not enough, they targeted naturalist John Muir, Spanish missionary Junipero Serra and even one of their own, Senator Dianne Feinstein [D-CA].
Apparently, either because Senator Feinstein sided with Republicans during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett, or was it because when she was mayor of San Francisco, she replaced a vandalized Confederate flag in front of City Hall with a new one?
The Board suspended its decision to rename the schools because it was so controversial. However, they made it clear that they will try again at an unspecified date.
“The anti-social socialists among us have moved on to the task of reindoctrinating our next generation of citizens,” warned one parent who says he is “beyond concerned.”

It began in the early 1950s when Russia announced that they “would destroy us from within”, then began massive infiltration of our schools, youth organizations, local and Federal Government. My wife and I attended many townhall meetings supported by Federal Government to warn citizens. Then China silently took up the same, but extremely accelerated and intensified, and much more effective and successful method of infiltration than Russia. Meanwhile America naively ignored the warnings, considering that monitoring government and civic activity was too inconvenient, and here we are today. Welcome to The People’s Republic of China’s America. The big question is, “We let it happen, but are we going to just continue to sit on our asses, or do something about it”?
Soros has been the leader in this infiltration of America since the end of WWII. He liked the idea Hitler had of one world order with one leader…him. He learned from Hitler’s defeat that one world order could not be attained through war. He has all these organizations that supposedly are for various charitable benefits, many of which qualify for grants and he uses the money from these to buy liberal candidates and companies and the media as well as large corporate heads. He is the one behind the indoctrination of students in colleges and then those teachers have now filtered down to k through 12. He had his Hungarian citizenship revoked a couple years ago or less and we are not smart enough to do the same. He is meddling in the elections of many countries in the same way. Yes, China is also taking advantage of the destruction of America, but they are simply riding in on Soros’ coat tails. He will soon croak, but his sons will continue in his footsteps.

Bravo to those parents in Arizona who confronted their school board and corrected their situation… Hopefully more parents will follow their example and stop the destruction of the American Educational System. It IS the Responsibility of every parent to instruct their child in correct principles and set them on the right path in life. If you ‘don’t have time or energy to to this’ then do not have children. Trusting that someone else will teach them correctly is a recipe for disaster.

Socialist control of our school systems is just plain wrong on so many fronts. We have issues in the main subjects like reading, writing, and arithmetic, so the educators should focus on that. History, civics and government should get attention by schools before any attention is paid to any other subjects. From stories in the news, American children are falling behind most industrialized nations on the performance tests with regard to basic subjects. To interject other social concepts at the insistence of Marxist school boards is just playing to more government control. Meet and exceed the state standards first, and challenge all students for academic excellence without the brainwashing them with socialist concepts.
This is a test. If the parents and grandparents are both well educated and alert, this critical race theory propaganda will not survive in public schools. So are we all paying attention?

Rewriting history is part of the ‘leftist political agenda’. We and our history are all ‘racist’ according to ‘leftist political agenda’. The ‘leftist political agenda’, is so obvious; as a means to create a ‘polar opposite’. This is to create ‘opposition and power’; against so called ‘evil political conservatism’; curtesy of the ‘leftist agenda’. By the way, The Constitution does not give the Federal Government any jurisdiction over the education system in this country. The 10 Amendment gives that authority to the states and people.
All this garbage in unconstitutional and so are executive orders, as the executive branch is not given any power to make law-only the Legislative Branch can to that, according to the Constitution, that is.
I guess Jimmy Carter was clueless that the Constitution gives the Federal government NO jurisdiction over the education system in this country; he established the Department of Education and it has been over us ever since.
But the Feds assumed control and maintain it by paying the schools to conform to government rule.

I don’t think it is quite Hitler in the White House yet, but I guarantee that if you look at what is happening to America under the Communist leadership of the Democrat Party it is very easy to compare America today to what Nazi Germany was in 1939. The taking over of the government, the media, the schools, rewriting our history, ignoring the Constitution, passing unconstitutional laws, defining whites as systemic racists, dividing the country into opposing, labeled groups, calling conservatives domestic terrorists, weeding out of radical “domestic terrorist (conservative Trump supporters) from the military, etc. to infinity. They just have not yet started the herding of conservatives and the religious into camps, but are marking Conservatives as undesirables just like the Nazis did the Jews. Tell me where I am wrong! Having been born in America in 1931 I had the misfortune of watching the whole rise and fall of the Nazis in Germany. Watching what is happening today in America is like reliving a bad nightmare.
