On Tuesday, June 29 at 12:00 p.m. ET, House Republican Whip and Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis Ranking Member Steve Scalise (R-La.), House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.), and Select Subcommittee Republican lawmakers will hold a forum with expert witnesses to examine the origins of the coronavirus. For more than a year now, Republicans have repeatedly called on Democrats to investigate the mounting evidence showing the virus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) lab, but Democrats continue refusing to launch an investigation.
“The left-wing media called it a ‘fringe conspiracy theory,’ Big Tech censored it, activists in white lab coats dismissed it and Democrats ignored it, but there is growing evidence Communist China started the pandemic, covered it up, and is responsible for the deaths of more than 600,000 Americans and millions more worldwide,” said Scalise and Comer. “Despite Speaker Pelosi’s efforts to create diversions and cover this up, the American people deserve the truth and are demanding accountability, and House Republicans will insist on getting these answers.
It was recently reported that three researchers from the Wuhan lab became ill with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and sought hospital care in November 2019. Additionally, Dr. Fauci’s recently released emails from February 2020 reveal that scientists raised the possibility of a lab leak and also expressed concern the virus appeared to be engineered.
The panel of experts includes:
- The Honorable Brett P. Giroir, former Assistant Secretary for Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: Admiral Giroir brings firsthand knowledge about the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As COVID-19 testing czar, he oversaw creating a nationwide testing apparatus from scratch which was made particularly difficult by China’s lack of transparency. Admiral Giroir will also discuss the investigatory failures of the World Health Organization and why a U.S.-led origins investigation is vital.
- Dr. David Asher, Senior Fellow, Hudson Institute: Dr. Asher has decades of national security experience and most recently led the U.S. Department of State’s COVID-19 origins investigation. His testimony will provide inside information into the origins investigation and the role of the Chinese government’s efforts to block a thorough and impartial investigation.
- Dr. Richard Muller, Emeritus Professor of Physics, University of California Berkeley: Dr. Muller is an acclaimed scientist that used his own research to study available data in attempting to determine the origins of COVID-19. He recently penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal pointing out there is strong evidence COVID-19 was developed in a laboratory using gain-of-function acceleration.
- Dr. Steven Quay, Founder, Atossa Therapeutics: Dr. Quay is one of a growing number of scientists dedicated to finding the origins of COVID-19. He has conducted his own research using the publicly available viral data and reached conclusions apart from outside influence. He brings significant scientific expertise to this endeavor including over 87 patents and hundreds of published scientific articles.
Dr. Anthony Fauci was invited to participate in the panel but declined the invitation.

When you say live would we be able to participate and ask questions? I received the J & J vaccine and the Dr.’s say and I quote, ” I am the only case like this and they have no one to compare me to to treat me” They tried steroids (high dosage) which was no good. Tried an infusion, not getting me there. I asked if they had a plan C and so far they do not. I am trying to find a job remotely as it is difficult with my health. I have no and I mean no money coming in to pay bills and live. When I asked if I was going to die from this, the Dr.’s said after a long pause, “we are going to do the best we can.” I really do not know what to do anymore. With all the cases and who knows of the ones we do not know about who have died thinking it was something else. The cases of individuals who took the vaccine b/c in a way it sounded like the gov’t was mandating it. I took it b/c of my elderly mother and now I am the one with hospital costs and trying to get me back to me again. What will I do, I can’t have the booster, will I be able to have a flu shot? Will every disease or virus kill me now b/c my body is compromised by this vaccine? Who is going to help pay my bills? I wonder of the many people that have been affected by this vaccine and will be for the rest of their lives who is helping them financially and physically.
The media will avoid any mention of this effort and any testimony given that validates what scientific data has already shown regarding the virus to date. Outside the United States, most countries have already determined the source of the virus. It is not a naturally occurring virus and has all the tell tail signs of having a manipulated gene sequence consistent with being manipulated in a lab. The fact that three Chinese virologists working in the P4 Wuhan virology lab on Covid / SARS virus strains became ill with the exact same symptoms as Covid-19 a couple of months before the larger out-break was reported in Wuhan, China should be a big, flashing red signal where the origin point was. The fact that the Chinese government also ordered the destruction of all the Covid viral samples and notes pertaining to the ongoing research back in January of last year and disappeared several scientists from the P4 facility, should also tell you the CCP was burying the evidence.
While I applaud the Republicans for finally getting around to doing such hearings, in all honesty it is at least 12 to 18 months too late. Yes, they can gather testimony of non-politically motivated scientists, but the media in this country has a vested interested in pushing the narrative that favors the Democrats. It allows China to continue to avoid any responsibility for their negligence in lab safety and the ensuing cover-up that has resulted in millions of deaths world-wide.
This is a waste. Nothing will happen. Legislators looking like they are earning a paycheck. Please this is just theater. Our congress persons are only interested in being reelected. I can save you! I can solve the current crisis! I can solve what happened 16 months ago. HOT AIR FROM OUR RHETORICIANS, LET US AID GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE AND DO NOTHING. EXTRA CO2 FOR NOTHING. SHUT UP AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING.
